I've been going to Richard for drum lessons every two weeks for 18 months now and he has been a great teacher. Not only has he got me to be able to play the drums to a basic level he's always willing to do a visit if I have issues with my drum set and help where he can. If you like certain types of music he will encourage you to play your favourite songs too. If you are looking to have an enthusiastic and super talented drum teach you then I'd 100 per cent recommend Richard.

Richard is a very experienced drummer who makes you feel welcome. He is keen and patient to help you improve with various techniques that are very helpful without over complicating things. Can highly recommend Richard.

Richard is a fantastic teacher. My son is extremely shy so finding someone who put him at ease was very important. From the very beginning I've seen his confidence improve and he's thoroughly enjoying his new talent. Richard is always on hand to answer any questions and gives great advice if ever we need any help or recommendations. I cannot begin to express just how good Richard is as an instructor and as a person. My son has autism but really wanted to try playing the drums. It takes him a lot to try something new, as soon as he makes mistakes he wants to give up as he feels he isn't good enough etc...but Richard got him through all of these self doubts and has so much patience with him. He finds what works personally for my son to get him through any difficulties and to improve his confidence. My son now has a genuine love for playing the drums and speaks of Richard in very high standards. We have moved away and he already says how not only is he missing playing the drums he is also missing Richard, which is so nice to hear, it shows just how much he connected with him. The price that Richard also charges is excellent, he makes it affordable for people to persue their interest in drums. Thank you so much Richard for being such a positive influence in my son's life, we are now finding it hard for him to want anyone else to teach him!

Having never played any instrument whatsoever during my 40 (odd 🤣) year lifetime, I've only ever wanted to try to have a go at learning to play the drums, so my wife booked a couple of lessons with Rich for my birthday. Feeling a tad nervous at the beginning, I had nothing to fear, as Rich put me at ease straight away. He is a superb teacher and amazingly patient. His knowledge of different drumming genres is bewildering at times. Rich is not just a fab teacher, he also is a awesome drummer himself, watching him is mindblowing, as he hits the drums and makes it look so easy, of which I know it isn't. He has an amazing ability to push you to your limits every lesson and get the most out of your own drumming abilities. After every lesson, I cannot wait for the next to come around. Rich has been an absolutely amazing drum teacher! He is super approachable and makes you feel at ease throughout the lesson. Rich is also an absolutely incredible drummer and his passion for the art is so evident in his teaching ability. Richard is an excellent teacher - he's very patient with our 5 year old son and simplifies drum skills so that he can pick them up! Our 5 year old son has really engaged with the sessions and has developed his taste in music since beginning - he now tells us what the drums are doing in most songs we listen to! Richard has also been accomodating when we need to reschedule short notice due to work/family commitments. We were looking for a set of drums for Christmas and Richard helped us source some from another client of his - he even stored them at his house while we were waiting for payday to make payment. Richard is personable, friendly and my son's confidence has really improved since starting. My son can be quite shy with adults and Richard's gentle teaching style has helped with his confidence. I highly recommend him :)

I started drumming lessons with Richard back in 2017 as a brand new drummer, and I’ve been very satisfied with the last four years of teaching. He writes out any sheet music I need help with and has taught me effectively every lesson. He also has good online communication when I messaged him for the sheet music during the first lockdown. He also has a very good setup with good drums that are always great to play on As I said, I’ve been very satisfied with the teachings and encourage any new drummers to also learn with him :)

Richard has taught my boy for the last year or so from aged 10 in year 6. He has come on loads although we only manage to get there once a month. He recently passed his Grade 1 drums. Richard is great with him very patient and always makes him feel that what he's playing is fantastic and gives him so much confidence. He always asks what music he likes and what he would like to play he has shown him other types of music also which he has really enjoyed. My lad has never come away from a lesson without a smile on his face and straight up to his drums to practice. Richards set up is also top class he loves going there to have a bash on those drums. All in all I would recommend Richard anytime.

Richard has been teaching my daughter drumming for the last few months and neither she or I could be any happier with how the lessons have gone. Richard is a great teacher and the inspiration & support he has provided to my daughter at each lesson has been amazing. He goes out of his way to help & is always friendly & helpful when we unfortunately need to change lesson times. If you are looking for a drum teacher then I cannot Recommend Richard highly enough.
